Wow, it's been a hectic summer! If you don't already know, I'm a boat captain in the summer and with Covid still greatly affecting tourism here in Juneau, nobody really knew what to expect coming into the 2021 summer season. Turns out LOTS of people want to visit Juneau and we've had a major influx of independent travelers which has been amazing for the economy. We also had cruise ships start returning in late July, which has also been a lifesaver for many small businesses.
All this means I have been way busier than expected on the boats! This is great news for my career, but it hasn't left me much time for creating my wearable art over the summer. I've still been creating jewelry - slowly - because I have some exciting news!
I'll be at PUBLIC MARKET this fall!
I had planned on attending Public Market as a vendor last year for 2020, but Covid had different plans for Juneau and the event was canceled. Now that things are a little less wild (fingers crossed our current high Covid numbers start decreasing as summer tourism ends), Public Market is scheduled to happen and I couldn't be more excited!
I'm a little bit stressed because even though I've been pumping out new stuff throughout this busy summer, I still need to make a LOT more since Public Market is a popular event. You probably won't see me adding many new items to my online shop because I'll be busy creating stuff exclusively for Public Market.
Public Market is scheduled to happen November 26, 27, 28 and my booth will be located in the ARTIST GALLERY (first booth on the right) inside the JACC.
See you there!
